Life is Change growth is Optimal, Choose Wisely
With current waves and tides of life, all forces bombarding me, I can say my 20s so far are the best and most relevant times have experienced. The personal and professional choices have made and still making are the still foundation for my adulthood (though I believe am an adult now).
Many are times I would have given an answer to my family and friends with an attitude of ‘Relax don’t pressure me.’ I can decide on my own. With all that I believe some of the greatest challenges that have faced me are affecting others too.
A tough decision to make was regarding which job to take up. The job that promises me security, or that which will equip me with an experience of its kind. Money on the other side a tough choice it is between the high paying or the job with tremendous opportunities for growth.
While letting go of relationships that don’t grow you but instead drain you and make your life difficult are the most difficult but again the best gift you can give yourself. Enough about my little self and though I can give some few tips I have learned about evaluating every aspect of life before making a decision in my two decades.
Is there something new you are learning?
It has always been a norm for us to specialize in certain areas so as to have a smooth career path. In every job, you are undertaking; it is essential that there be some trajectory or growth plan in that area. By thus doing, it would be clear on how to learn and grow in that profession.
Is there something to learn about yourself?
There is no better way of learning than in your 20s. Your career trajectory should be geared to that age. It is essential that when you are considering a development possibility, consider the role and how it will enable you to reach your full potential.
Does what beholds jolt you?
Every move you make and every project you are geared to should get you out of that comfort zone. The process should ensure you go beyond your limits. When logic seems to be the only suitable solution to that situation, be boldly determined to crack the nuts.
What is your perspective of success?
Success is not about how much money you earn or how much bonuses you get. Even promotions at your workplace is not a form of success it’s just an achievement. Your personal growth, as well as professional experiences, can be termed as the greatest success the rest are just byproducts. The ability of you to grow your ideas to success should be a driving force.
The nature of employee morale in your workplace
Getting a job is a good thing, but going to work with staff with positive and good morale is well the best thing. The people surrounding you are the ones who mainly influence your character. Since most of the time, you spend with your colleagues in a workplace. Having a team to build you would be pleasant. If you are deliberating on portraying your best, consider the people around you to get you there.
Do you feel excited about what you do?
When you are always thinking positively of your workplace. Then such comes with some excitement as you look forward to completing a project.
The number of times you spend at your workplace should not be dull; rather it should be a learning curve for you. The Enthusiasm of your career would ultimately lead to potential success.
With every critical decision, embrace the notion that you can create your path. But also allow that way early in your career to help shape you, too.
Every opportunity is a learning experience; it’s always up to you to know what you are deriving. Is it positive or negative? Well, think about it. Till next time, A Happy Learning.
